I’m too sleepy to type anything fun.  Great, light hearted movie for the whole family!

Will just get it out of the way now, they really take the piss with the fanservice in this one.  It’s a pity, because otherwise:

It’s GREAT! PCHKEWWWW, KRRRRRPPWOOOAGH, DUNDUNDUNDUNDUNDUN, WEEEEOOWWWWWWWwwwrrrrRRRRkkh.

I’ve done a complete 180 on three 3D models since my last watch, they’re so fun. Love how unit 3 contorts and twists in the air as it jumps, berserk unit 02 is an absolute belter, the Sahaquiel fight is nuts.  Asuka’s aerial drop fight. That bit where they’re…

Finally the Twilight Princess movie we all deserve.

Breathtaking. I’m a mess.  Cartoon Saloon’s best work to date and without question the best Irish animated feature film.  The wolfwalker’s rejuvenating howl worked on me too, it’s been a rotten year, and this has left me feeling refreshed, inspired and comforted.

Also the way they use rough line with the underdrawings left on for wild characters and clean, solid line for the town characters is GREAT.

So proud of my buds who worked on this too, yizz are amazing.

The giant shell casings landing on cars is the best thing cinema has ever produced.

Enjoyed it even more than my first watch this time, I think when I first watched it I was a little too jarred but the 3D stuff, but screw it, Ramiel is just so good in this.  That giant metallic THUNK they keep using is so goofy and I love it.

If you go in to these expecting them to ‘update’ the original you’ll probably be disappointed, but that makes these films more valuable, they do something different, and don’t try to replace the original.
