Such a good time, and it absolutely improves even more on the rewatch. Love Amber and Richie as ghostface, their motive felt SO timely (yes, Stans are that fucking crazy, have you SEEN Star Wars fans?). Loved all the callbacks to the previous films too! Sydney being married to Mark, Gale referencing her bangs, THE RED RIGHT HAND NEEDLE DROP and Dewey's spaghetti Western theme coming back in full force.

Speaking of Dewey, I see some people criticising his death,…

Radio Silence (the directors) were fighting an uphill battle as soon as they decided to take this project on: being ten years after Scream 4, and the first movie not to be helmed by Wes Craven in this 25 year old franchise. It also exists in a world where meta movies have become the norm. I mean, fuck, Matrix 4 just came out less then a month ago. With 1-4, metaness was still fresh and they were the only mainstream…

I take back what I said about Scream 2, this is my favourite sequel now: they're CLOSE though

Also God I hope this movie gets more love in the future because I genuinely love it, and it has my favourite final minute of any Scream so far.

BRING ON SCREAM 5 TOMORROW! I CANNOT FUCKING WAIT!

Somehow it only gets better on each watch, geniunely perfect filmmaking

And it only occurred to me this time around how perfect the pacing of this film is! Time flies by whenever I start watching this, and it might be apart of why this film is so comforting, along with the fuzzy nostalgia this movie oozes.

Might rewatch the franchise AGAIN to feel something

I dont think I'll ever get sick of this franchise. I fucking adore every single movie (I even enjoy Scream 3 a ton!) and hopefully Scream '22 keeps the ball rolling; I have faith that Radio Silence will accomplish that.

And I'm almost tempted to give this 5! I think I love it as much as 1 and 2!

You know what? Fuck it, I feel nice. This gets 5 stars too because it fucks. This franchise fucks.

Oh, you know, the usual small talk. "What's the news, how've you been, how do you wanna die?"

Still clearly the worst of the franchise on a rewatch, but it's STILL a ton of fun. The set chase is a fun sequence, if not slightly nonsensical considering there wasn't two killers. Fun fact: the girl that Sydney finds in the bathroom (Angelina) was supposed to be the 2nd killer at one point, before it got rewritten to one killer, but it seems that the clues were never rewritten, so she just acts shady the whole time and doesn't get a definitive on screen death.

You know what? Hot take: Scream 2 is JUST as good as the original. I don't feel like elaborating on that comment right now, I just think it is!

Can't wait for Scream 5 next week :)

Two and a half stars (leaning towards 2) for the production qualities of this, and the fact that it mildly entertained me at points. Can't forgive the pacing as is, and I especially can't forgive the story as it is. Legitimately could've been such a good critique of Hollywood if they didn't make the main relationship romantic. Seriously, there was no point to why they couldn't have been friends; it would've improved the themes way more imo! And the anti-asian…

A fantastic wrap up to what may well end up being my favourite trilogy of all time. What a fantastic (yet oh-so-depressing) ending.

It's gonna be one hell of a night we're about to have, huh?

I love being depressed and wondering about the nature of love and wanting to die because two fictional characters can't stop arguing
