    Another art film from Akio Jissoji, and as expected, it’s visually stunning and packed with challenging subject matter.

    MANDALA is set around a cult who value 2 things above all else: agriculture and eroticism. Agriculture gets some of the film’s attention, but as you can imagine, more screen time is devoted to the latter. The cult leader facilitates and observes a variety of sexual situations, unfortunately most of them involving rape.
