Possibly the best Wes Anderson film if you exclude Fantastic Mr. Fox. The framing and cinematography are absolutely amazing and how every shot looks like a painting and the coloring and lighting it each scene shows how evolved Wes Anderson has come in filmmaking. I know how people complain how brightly lit his films are, but it is his style and he uses it to make him a unique director. Ralph Fiennes has a career-defining performance showing how great he is at playing versatile characters like this one. The pacing is great and the film doesn’t make overstay it’s welcome and it feels like this one has no filler. In total this is a masterpiece that should be seen by everyone once in a lifetime.
