Watched it completely blind. Let's just say I internally screamed when Nancy appeared as I thought she wouldn't be in any sequels besides New Nightmare.
Only word I would use to describe this film is bonkers. Very creative and unpredictable. The visuals throughout are just so remarkable, the way they utilized colors and sets are mesmerizing. One of the few horror sequels for me that surpasses the original. Could've ended the franchise right here if you ask me, just like Wes wanted to, as the ending felt like a proper conclusion.
I may not have payed enough attention due to my ADHD and boredom but this made no sense whatsoever. Wish I was just rewatching the entire beach scene of Y Tu Mamá También instead.
The concept is definitely interesting and original but the execution botched it. I can already think of a way better version of this movie. The ending was awful. I mostly liked when it loosely touched upon the the themes of aging, loss, regrets, and forgiveness.
Completely understandable now why many people hated this film and consider it one of the worst of the year.
The sequel certainly lived up to its title. Lots of kills. A lot of ideas thrown around everywhere. They surely made sure to make it feel like a sequel so the direction is different this time around. The entire town goes crazy because of Michael Myers' murders and the movie focuses on them led by Tommy Doyle.
Jamie Lee Curtis is completely wasted this time, literally 98% of her scenes are at the hospital much like in Halloween II and…
