It's nice when something that thrilled me when I was seven still delivers the goods in my mid thirties. Tastes inevitably change, back in 86 my favourite food was fish fingers, I wanted to be a carpenter and Horace and the Spiders was the best ever. However, Indiana Jones, like a crime against time, stays an eternal favorite.
Ford is dashing, the dialogue, score, production and pace are excellent with each thrilling set piece unique in design and location. Its the little things too, Molina rubbing his fingers, Jock not wanting to loose his catch, the rosy faced challenger, evil monkey heil and confusing coat hanger to name but a few.
The sense of adventure has been rarely matched and that special effects driven finale is still impressively immense after all these years. Nothing to fault. 5 stars and a love heart.
