very bland, characterisation is non-existent, for something that's supposed to be a period piece it looks and feels very modern which was accentuated by badly written dialogue between characters, so much that I could easily imagine whole thing taking place at the present time in some small apartment in Vienna and being shot cheaply on digital in two or three days
I knew about this film for a long time, read reviews, checked stills that looked wonderful. I thought I was in for a treat, if it doesn't turn out to be a masterpiece it will at least be a four star film.
Oh boy, was I wrong.
