“Why do you want to be a lobby boy?”
“Well, who wouldn't - at the Grand Budapest, sir. It's an institution”

The Grand Budapest Hotel is one of those films that after you watch it you can’t get it out of your head. I’d been waiting for a chance to rewatch this film and I was super excited to watch it again. It has now become one of my favorite films as it’s just so dynamic and fun. I’m
not the biggest fan of Wes Anderson but this is his crown jewel of a film. Ralph Fiennes is still incredible in this film as Gustave. I thought this was pretty funny the first time I watched it, but it got even funnier upon second viewing. It’s not just the one liners that hit for me but it’s the situational humor that goes into this story. And speaking of story, the first time I watched this I really wasn’t expecting this. But now watching it for the second time, I love this story. I love the adventure and relationship between our two leads. Overall, I just love this movie and it makes me excited to see Anderson’s new film.

Overall Rating: A+
