This took a HUGE turn from Rooney Mara’s emotion-focused coping to that guy spitting some existential bars to a crowd.
Initially, I was certain I wouldn’t like this one. I have a hard time watching slow-burn movies, especially because I have a short attention span. But boy did this become the exception.
With hardly any dialogue, Lowery masters the art of storytelling through music and visuals. Really appreciate the transitions in the setting all the while having to listen to the hauntingly beautiful music.
I’d just go ahead and say it, this movie is not for everyone. But it was for me and I’m so glad I was constantly reminded to watch this here, so if you’re looking for a short slow-burn, check this out!
