    Dune

Dune feels like watching half of a movie that isn’t supposed to be seen in two parts. The story doesn’t have stakes, emotion, tension and not much is done to make the main characters likeable. It feels like a tv show pilot, setting up plot lines and characters right before the black screen. Bo Burnham: Inside

I genuinely can’t figure out what I think about this movie. I found the first half straight up unbearable, as it is just a compilation of skits going from unfunny to annoying that get boring after ten minutes. I have to admit that I was extremely disappointed by The Nightingale. It's overlong, boring and predictable. The writing sucks, every character is a stereotype with no depth and it's full of cliches and useless scenes. It's needlessly violent (there were even a few walkouts) to the point that after an hour or so it became completely uneffective. The cinematography is inconsistent and the 4:3 aspect ratio serves no purpose at all. Everything is surface level, nothing is left to…

An astonishing soundtrack, unique cinematography and a singular plot that come together as an undescribable epic with a style we've never seen before, a disgusting but fascinating look at the garbage of our society from the point of view of who lives in it, a despicable person that we can't help but care about (maybe thanks to Pattinson's amazing performance).
This film is clearly a love letter to Trainspotting (complete with crime, drugs and - MINOR SPOILERS - pedophilia), and…
