Yakuza Justice: Erotic Code of Honor

The movie begins with the birth of the hero out of DEATH, a corpse in the river. He's somewhere between the living and dead, and death wants him back. An inverted spiritual journey, from holiness to depravity. The bloodshed increases, some insane kills, one I wont spoil but it's pretty classic, one guy gets decapitated by just a pistol, his head just falls off! Literal river of blood. Expect incest and patricide, and strange ominous black boxes appearing on your screen. This is a genuine "cool" movie.

The cops in this movie wrongly identify the hero as a schizophrenic madman, but SABU identifies INSTITUTIONAL schizophrenia as the real threat, the construction of narratives out of conjecture and prejudice by a power centre that will not admit it's own faults. It's played for great comedy but also tragedy. It's impossible to not have a good time watching this.

    Eyes Wide Shut

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

There are two definitions of Knowledge that are important for discussing EYES WIDE SHUT: Sexual intercourse and Cognizance. We may use the term gnosis for flair. And Adam knew Eve his wife refers to sexual gnosis, and similarity for cognizance; Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?. The desire for knowledge permeates the characters existence – but what kind of knowledge? The discovery of bad epistemology is…
