WALL·E ★★★★½

I hadn't seen this since just after it came out, and I'd forgotten just how wonderful it is. Wall-E is this cute little dude robot whose sole purpose is to clean up (what he can) the garbage left on Earth. Soon, he makes contact with the Eve (a new, more advanced piece of hardware) and we go on this exciting journey into space. Much of the earlier scenes in the film play out like a silent movie, with sound effects, Thomas Newman's score and excerpts from Hello Dolly filling up the sound mix. Wall-E has the advantage of being a technically remarkable and fun-to-watch movie that deals with a very important subject: the idea that no matter what events may transpire in your life, your home will always be your home. :)
