Niko Schmidt’s review published on Letterboxd:
I didn't know that I wanted Bollywood dance scenes in my Japanese movies, but I know that I didn't want the rest of this film.
The Plot: A family has to move out of their home and the frustrated daughter invites for an open party on Twitter. All kinds of people appear to go through all kinds of absurd and nonsensical shenanigans.
Not as funny as it sounds. It was a real drag for me, because the random humour undermines the multiple subplots leading to something. And as random as the humour feels the editing, which makes me guess that the film makers lost track of their subplots themselves. So many scenes should have left been on the floor. There is a subtext about family in there, but I just couldn't bother. A rare disappoint from the Nippon Connection Filmfestival for me.
