Came into this hoping for a soapy, Taylor Swift-esque (Folklore eraβ€”literally illicit affairs) romance and it did not disappoint. I will say that I was not as interested in the modern day Felicity Jones storyline, but I suppose there was no way her Ellie character could compete with the Jennifer character’s beautiful β€˜60s setting and costumes. Shailene Woodley not only looks amazing in all her Jackie O. and Priscilla Presley-inspired glory, but she also gives a strong performance. I would absolutely love to see her in more period movies. Period drama staples Callum Turner and Joe Alwyn were also great.
