"If I am not for myself, who will be? If I am for myself alone, who am I? If not now, when? And if not you, who?"
I am not so up for deep political conversations especially to American politics for I have a fairly limited set of intentions to go down for it. Anyhow, the amount of exposition brought up by this film was enough for me to at least comprehend the whole thing.
BlacKkKlansman utilizes striking narrative that encapsulates the rightful bits of information from its discussion. The ending might probably dissatisfy some people for it breaks the supposedly subtler message enclosed in the film. I personally loved the way it ended because I felt that it heightened the emotional punch rendered by its earlier scenes.
Overall, this based upon some fo' real, fo' real sh*t film is a solid product of Spike Lee that managed to entail an important message that is still timely up to this day. I absolutely loved this powerfully told film.
