I didn't know a bundle of reeds could be used as a flotation device– should get me out of a few sticky situations in the future.
Great to watch a hyper-expressive film from a time period before style was so self-reflexive. There's a sincerity to its bizarre set-design, surreal special effects, and quaint miniatures that's missing from movies that use similar techniques today.
Overall, makes dates look fun. Another Hollywood yarn.
