1960s Hollywood self-conscious study

In the likes of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? and Sunset Boulevard, this film takes on an extremely self-critical and revealing stance into the entertainment industry and its players.

What particularly struck me was the age-old question of age in entertainment, and the actress' obsession over appearing young. It was done wonderfully here by Bette Davis.
