cameron. dont care’s review published on Letterboxd:
"The Invisible Man chases his woman prey like a cat and mouse...he plays a dark game of Tom vs. Jerry." -- H. G. Wells
pretty good. definitely good enough to justify its existence. some really awesome stuff in here. the hospital set piece was fucking awesome. some moments really got me. overall the tension, thrills, and scares really hit.
however, the dialogue was cringy as fuck. just off enough to be completely awkward and hard to watch. i noticed that with upgrade too. i dont even know how to describe whats off with the dialogue it just feels really lame and bad. luckily that problem is mostly offset by the awesome stuff that happens in the second half.
i love the thing leigh whannel does where the camera is stabilized on a persons face during an action scene. looks so cool.
