Ian West’s review published on Letterboxd:
“IT CAN’T BE BARGAINED WITH. IT CAN’T BE REASONED WITH. IT DOESN’T FEEL PITY, OR REMORSE, OR FEAR—AND IT ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT STOP, EVER, UNTIL YOU ARE DEAD!”
Relentless sci-fi slasher fusion loaded with truckloads of beyond memorable sequences after another. A tech-noir cyber-Terror stalk n slash nightmare. An unstoppable force of cinematic perfection that, at this point, is impervious to feeble critiques or jabroni hatred. A monumental pillar in two genres and a bonafide face-melting cyber Halloween riff from a once in a generation talent in Cameron.
T2 May have been more influential to me as a child with its grandiose spectacle, but as an adult almost nothing comes close to this for me... a gateway drug if I ever saw one.
This movie slays me in the best possible way and is one of the few movies that has/could enter my top 4 at any given moment.
