Don't watch unless with friends
I have always found spider-man a bit boring. His struggles always centers on the exact same difficulties, (adolescents, girlfriends, doing the right thing, family, yada yada...) which becomes very tiresome, after watching so many cinematic renditions through recent years.
So of cause it is refreshing, with this latest reissue, using meta storytelling and comic book drawings in stylized animation. But even though, there are several Peter Parker's it's still the same story, and this newest edition Miles, felt very bland…
Heartwarming straight forward movie, about racist unbecoming conduct, filled with Italian stereotypes.
The movie has a very clear, almost to obvious character development, despite this it's a soothing and satisfying transformation, excellent played by the two lead actors.
The story on the other hand, feels a bit empty at times, considering the movies critical acclaim. A simple road-movie with lots of heart.
