Satan's Blood

Satan's Blood ★★★

An endearingly antiquated tale of old college chums indulging a satanic orgy over a long weekend. Reminded me quite a bit of Paul Naschy's work, which is a sensation I'm sure was due more to its isolated rural setting than its Spanish origins.

Not the most earth-shattering discovery, but I feel like it's novel in such a unique way compared to many of the other offerings on the Vinegar Syndrome label, and it makes better use of a possibly murderous (but definitely terrifying) doll than anything else this side of Deep Red.

Mercifully, I should add, the powers of Satan are put to constructive use by the time we reach the film's finale (a revelation regarding which I will divulge no further details).
