hits even harder on a rewatch. knowing what happens going into it, i think the experience is even more effective because you notice all these little details that weren’t apparent at first. there is so much food for thought in regards to the ending, and the third act in general but i personally think it’s executed quite well. like i said earlier, many people are going to be dissatisfied but there is a difference between a movie not being what you expect and having an actual bone to pick with it. carey mulligan is absolutely fantastic and delivers maybe one of my favourite performances ever.
