Michael Brooks’s review published on Letterboxd:
Guy Ritchie and Jason Statham team up to give us a classic "You fucked with the wrong guy" action flick that not only delivers some really great action set-pieces but with Statham's character we get a truly remarkable and interesting protagonist as well, and that's what he is, he is simply the protagonist. Statham is not playing the hero nor is he some sort of anti-hero, he's just a man that you absolutely do not want to cross. The narrative use of flashbacks is something Guy Ritchie is a master of and it really works well for this outing as it turns what could easily have been just another "revenge flick" into a more memorable entry in the genre. Overall, this was one serious crime drama with great moments of action.
