Villains ★★

If there’s one positive I can glean from this limp lacking dark comedy-thriller, it made me want to revisit Burn Notice. Jeffrey Donovan’s sharp oil-salesman menace was easily the best part of Villains; he was clearly having a blast with the role and it shows in his performance. Everyone and everything else? Either idiosyncratic and silly to the point of caricature, dull and predictable and/or anticlimactic, or just downright forgettable and completely lacking in thrills or suspense.
