Eric’s review published on Letterboxd:
From the writer of “Sicario” and “Hell or High Water” and the director of the underrated “Wind River” comes a very mediocre thriller set in a burning forest. Assassins are coming after a boy (don’t ask) and only firefighter Angelina Jolie can save him. Some of the setups are nice and they pay off, but the screenplay is a dud. CGI fire looks almost as bad as CGI blood. I expected way better from director Taylor Sheridan. Although Medina Senghore rocks it as a bad-ass pregnant wife with a rifle.
