kinda is to Euphoria what Shallow Grave is to Trainspotting, which is to say the two are interestingly similar but this one isn’t nearly as good.
sure the writings messy and it can definitely get a tad *cringe* at times, but the visual style is so great and its throwing around a lot of really compelling ideas. subtlety is definitely not in this movies language either but I don’t really think a story about the most unsubtle thing on Earth (the internet) really needs to be or even should be.
imagining David Prior in a theater watching Hereditary and just going “fuuuuck…” as the final shot happens is very sad but kind of funny.
