I really do feel like this is Kaufman cranked up to 110.
I’m sure there’s lots of layers to this movie I haven’t fully picked up on.
This film hit me really personally at times. It made me feel a lot of things. It was creepy, funny, surreal, poetic, philosophical, existential sad and beautiful.
Jessie Buckley gave such an incredible performance along with everyone else but she absolutely stole the show I feel. I bought her and never doubted what she feels for a second in a given scene. I love that this movie is so intimate and close and personal.
I loved the aesthetic, it was so dreary and melancholic. This film definitely warrants rewatches but I still loved it. Kaufman is a genius, man.
