Emma. 2020
Low 4.
Bill Nighy is such a great comedic actor. One of my favorite parts. Didn't like the music that much and some of the cinematography was off for me. The storytelling was also a little convoluted at times....However! Anya and Johnny's chemistry was lovely and overall this made me laugh a lot more than I expected. I'm a sucker for Jane Austen stories even though I really need to read more of them.

Nomadland 2020
This had a very quiet, calm, and beautiful feel to it. The flow between the depressing and uplifting moments was really nice. Frances McDormand was great of course, and I feel like the supporting "actors" really shined. Her scenes with Swankie and Bob were really beautiful. Also loved the music here. Definitely makes you think about life. Brought up road trip memories for me too, which seem so far away after a year into a pandemic, but looking forward to exploring and traveling again.
I don't want to die with my boat still in the driveway...

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo 2011
I love this series. Have read it multiple times (the original trilogy only), and I like the Swedish films a lot. But I really liked Fincher's take on this and so gutted they aren't going to finish it out ๐ญ
