Mike Corcoran’s review published on Letterboxd:
We all believe we’d run into the burning building... but until we feel that heat we never know.
I honestly really just like this one. I totally understand why people didn’t like it, but I thought it was great.
My only complaints are even after a second watch there are parts of it and ideas that I really just don’t understand, and I feel like after a second viewing I should understand it almost in its entirety. And sadly, the sound problems weren’t really fixed in the VOD release.
However, it looks great, is after phenomenally, is directed wonderfully, and sounds amazing. Ludwig Göransson should definitely bring home the best original score Oscar.
