Deserving of both its praise and its disgust, the latter is necessary to be in tune with the right POV, the supporting cast, who constantly criticize the two main characters.

When a director sprinkles in the gimmick late in the movie to remind you that it's there, that's a bad sign. No stakes, tension, or emotion. The biggest brow-raiser was when Debicki unlocked the car door with her foot from the back seat.
