It's beyond disappointing to say that this film has such seismic importance in 2018, but it absolutely does. A story representing the very essence of good vs evil and one which is so grimly relevant, EVEN NOW, that it doesn't feel like a period piece. Impeccably made and featuring an actor who has been extremely fortunate to inherit his father's talent (seriously take a bow John David Washington), this was a beautiful, brutal - if at times a tad messy - account of how little at least one nation has grown up. And obviously, fuck that orange bastard and his cult.
