    Top 100 Directors Challenge - 2 of 100

A colorful French feelgood musical by Jacques Demy about old and new love. If you missed real songs and dance in The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, you will find it here, or for whom they were too dramatic has something to feel good about here. Catherine Deneuve is wonderful here again and I also really liked Michel Piccoli with his song. Since the two musicals I've seen by Jacques Demy so far were so different, I'm very curious to see what Donkey Skin will be like.

    ACTIONx52 (2021) - 40 of 52 (#43 They’re wired up. Watch an action film with wire-(stunt)work.)
Woovember 5 - 30 of 30 (Watch a film starring Tony Leung Chiu-wai, Michelle Yeoh, Yuen Wah or Andy Le to celebrate the fact that Marvel didn't half-ass the fight scenes in Shang-Chi)

The sword fights are really well choreographed and executed. However, the wire work was way too exaggerated for my taste. Running up walls, fighting in the treetops and jumping from tree to tree in the process is just not my cup of tea.

I met a man who loved everything. And he died in a flood of shit.

A family with marital problems that are much more bizarre in content than just an ordinary lover. Strong performances by Sam Neill and Heinz Bennent, as well as an extraordinary and completely insane performance by Isabelle Adjani. Great and intense marriage quarrel with great dialogues on the one hand and complete madness with great effects on the other hand.

Woovember 5 - 8 of 30 (Watch a film starring Steven Seagal to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Out for Justice)

Terrorists hijack a plane to carry out a poison gas attack on Washington D.C. Which means that this movie contains two main points of action, the ending of an airplane hijacking and bomb disposal. The movie also somehow lives from the fact that it's about characters who have to do things for which they are not trained.
