A list for discovering Japanese comedies

A couple of days ago the cinema lovers on Twitter helped me compile a list of Japanese comedies, and the thread got so long that I decided to repost it here.
Humor is very personal, and since the list was made by several people it is by no means a list if "the best/greatest Japanese comedies of all time", but just a list with lots of interesting movies (defining a comedy is also an ambiguous territory). For these reasons the list should be understood just as an opportunity and a tool to (re)discover some Japanese films in a genre usually not very known outside the archipelago.
