BlacKkKlansman

BlacKkKlansman ★★★★½

Spike Lee really outdid himself with this one. This is definitely one of his best movies and the best one to get his message across. He however delivers this commentary with light humor that actually works in every scene. It often reminded me of Do The Right Thing, not just by the tension surrounding two sides, but also the way it manages to uplift itself with it's humor. That doesn't mean it doesn't go to some terrifying and serious places. Like that ending for example which was just brilliant. BlacKkKlansman feels like a 70s buddy cop film that connects the past and the present, showing just how much things have changed and how much they haven't. Definitely an important movie in today's time.

I just fell in love with John David Washington. He's absolutely brilliant. And so is Adam Driver (of course he is), Laura Harrier, Jasper Pääkkönen, Topher Grace and many more. Simply put, I fell in love with this movie.
