    Does an (extremely surprisingly) good job of being absolutely reverent to Jonathan Larson while successfully adapting a work where he's excoriating himself for being an self-obsessed arsehole.

    Some of the cinematic flourishes/choices don't work, but Andrew Garfield is transformed here, and it doesn't feel forced or actorly.
