As we continue to rapidly climb with technology, films like this become so much more frightening. The excitement of new technology conceals the negatives and there's no way to stall it, it creeps up and before you know it this film isn't a bizarre science fiction concept anymore and that's WILD.
I loved how the main character was repping the old ways, just a mechanic vibing out and cursing the new technology. It made the transition so cool because he…
I'm ashamed it's taken me so long to check this out because it's one of those films I knew I was gonna love.
It's not about the killer and what he accomplishes to put him on any kind of slasher pedestal, but more of a focus on the town's fear of having no knowledge of who the killer is, why the killer is killing, when the killer will strike next and where. Perfectly documents the 'dread' of never feeling safe…
Saw this when I was really young, didn't think it would be fair to rate it on memory and I was totally right. It's way better than I remember.
This film takes itself the perfect amount of serious. The Djinn is a cruel, cold prick but not above making a joke or two before sentencing you to your doom-- or rather, you accidentally sentencing yourself to your doom.
Loved the appearances from Robert Englund, Tony Todd, and Kane Hodder as…
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Nah man what the hell? This movie pulls you all the way in within the first 5 minutes and everything afterwards is just a dude vibing out in a zombie apocalypse. No real buildup, climax, nothing. I even liked the music bits, didn't hate the pointless twist, enjoyed spending the time with the main character.. but the story straight up goes nowhere. Weird.
Just watch The Battery for the same themes covered way better.
Released one year after the supposed final chapter? Alright.
This movie sucks. And it was honestly a plot concept I was all about seeing. But the lack of development (somehow) makes this cast of characters the weakest up to this point and the horrible pacing doesn't help. Would have been totally okay if the kills were neat but they weren't. I just can't tell what this film was aiming for because it removes the soul from the franchise and it…
This film is by far the creepiest one in the franchise up to this point. Bone-chilling scenes left and right. And undead Jason?! I take back what I said in the previous film, this is the best Vorhees look.
I had a lot more fun with this. Still too hit or miss on the comedy for me to bump it over p4, but after the garbage that was p5, I'm more than happy with it.
Sheriff Garris might be my favorite character so far.
Part 4 and 6 rule!
