BlacKkKlansman

BlacKkKlansman ★★★½

This is my second Spike Lee film after Inside Man and this one is just as enjoyable though quite different.
Mixing comedy and drama is never easy when your film's subject matter is controversial given the current climate (film happens in the 70's and yet is still more relevant than ever especially in the US) and this film manages to balances the two in a convincing way, thanks mostly to his great cast starring Denzel Washington's son John David Washington (whose just as good as his father) and the always amazing Adam Driver.
In terms of flaws, this is another movie that could have been more nuanced to be part of the All Time Greats (the contrast between the KKK and the Black Panther movement) but all in all, it's a very solid film with great performances.
