Rating movies is too much, I'm forswearing the whole thing
Currently on a KHep marathon
Took me a whole day to watch this entire thing, definitely the worst of the Tracy/Hepburn movies, too dragged out and melodramatic in a bad way. But even then it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, you see, old movies are hard to find and often, not always, but often, the worst the movie the hardest it is to find because people just forget about it, and this was a real nightmare to get so I wasn't expecting good things anyway.
Well, at least now I can say I've seen all their movies together which was the goal!

If the intention was to subvert rape-revenge thrillers, whose best quality is to allow women to externalize their aggression against the injustice of gendered violence, simply by taking the trope and removing the very thing that makes it relevant, what was the point? If this had been made by some white guy who thinks women dying is revolutionary, I’d have my answer right there. But this was written and directed by a woman, so I must…
