My Zoe ★★½

Julie Delpy likes to direct, write and act at the same time, and she has done so in all the films she has commanded, however in My Zoe is pretty clear she had to have chosen only one of the jobs, because she gives herself too much weight in the plot and forgets about the rest.

As a writer and actor it is perhaps a mistake driven by ego, but a more competent director would've realized how unbalanced her film became.
