HOLY SHIT I GOT TO SEE THIS AT THE IMAX!!! I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SAY THOSE WORDS AGAIN.

There are barely any real characters, it's very complicated, and the sound mixing is waaaaayyyy too loud. But I'll be damned if this isn't the most impressive filmmaking that Nolan's pulled off since "Inception"!

There's stuff in here that will just about inspire every film fan out there. Seeing these awe-inspiring images on the IMAX was so surreal and I just got swept up in this incredible filmmakers world. Even though this story is so dense and so complex I respect the shit out of Nolan for taking that risk. It's not every day a studio gives a man $225 Million to make something that no average movie-goer will understand. It's a film that's practically begging on hands and knees to be rewatched multiple times. You don't get mainstream films like this anymore. I almost dare to call it a breath of fresh air after all the Marvel movies we've gotten in the past three years since "Dunkirk". It's so nice to have a director-driven blockbuster again.

Plus, I will always prefer challenging movies to entertaining ones. Challenging movies almost always require you to rewatch them, as to gain a greater appreciation for them. Strictly entertaining movies, for the most part, are just that. They don't require any extra thought and you can leave the theater feeling 100% satisfied with what you've just watched. That's one of the many reasons why I love a show like "Twin Peaks" so much. Films like these don't leave your brain, they stick with you long after you've finished them. And, to me, those are the best kinds of movies. 🥰
