"Those goddamn coloureds sure know how to spoil a celebration!"
The humour and satire in this one is strange. It's both incredibly dark yet very feel-good at the same time.
The drama feels forced in certain places and is sometimes drowned by the comedy tone of the film.
...But I kinda liked it, and I kinda didn't at the same time.
I'm not sure, BlacKkKlansman is a film that starts off well but ends in a mess, and not a beautiful one either. The final act is where it starts to rapidly go downhill leading to the actual ending, which is one of the most 'out-of-place' endings of the year.
The acting is fantastic from literally everyone, the editing is marvellous, the cinematography is great and the script is MOSTLY good but the film, as a whole, is not as memorable as I was hoping.
"God Bless White America."
