Round 2: Michael Goes Rage Mode! FIGHT!

Michael Myers is the new John Wick.

This was the most wonderfully absurd Halloween film in the entire franchise. Violent, brutal, and just down right silly at times.

I had a blast while questioning every single filmmaking decision.

This may be the best movie you could ever watch with your friends for movie night. You’ll wince at the gore and laugh at the absurdity of it all.

“Evil Dies Tonight” is the new “Hello Cleveland!”

When it was announced that a remake/reimagining of Candyman was gonna happen, I was less than enthused. I’ve spent a lot of time with the original and it’s source material. I will start by saying, if you have the ability to see this in IMAX, do it. Absolutely immersive from the soundtrack to the visuals.

Denis Villeneuve continues to prove why he is one of the best working directors. His ability to handle the scope and magnitude of such a project like Dune is intimidating and he doesn’t even break a sweat. I’m slowly turning into Kurt Russell from this film. My beard is growing out of control, my hair is getting longer, I just want to get up to my shack and get drunk, and I’m becoming distrustful of most people.

Had to get a viewing of this in for my birthday!!

Needless to say this film is a masterpiece of cinema. Not just in genre but across the board. It’s also the finest remake that’s ever been made.

Top Shelf! Gets my highest recommendation.
