Loads of fun! A great premise with some funky characters and a all the hijinks you would want to see in a children's adventure film. I would have LOOOVVVEDD this as a kid. But, even now, I still think it's great.

The script has a particularly fun gimmick with David Niven. And teenage Jodie Foster is great as the smart and tough girl who has a real arc. Lovely stuff.

Cute, with some nice jokes. It's neat that it tells the story dialog-free.

Can't live up to classic Simpsons, yet what does?

Two girls in Guatemala are sexually assaulted and have to deal with the aftermath in a culture that they believe will do nothing to help them.

A great pair of central performances carry the film for the first two acts, but the last act falls apart with the addition of a new character and many questionable character and plot choices.

It's a bit of a mess. Very funny at times, and very touching at times. But never seems to know how to use either.

I liked the humor in the first act. When things get more serious I felt like the movie was inserting humor at odd places and sanitizing the horrors of the time a little too much.

I'm not one to say that you can't make humor out of horrible situations, but this one didn't ride the line effectively.

I still enjoyed it, but I wasn't able to fully engage with either end of the funny-sad spectrum when the movie wanted me to.
