    this one screams paul newman.

when i was a kid, we used to go up to this cabin in utah, usually in the fall or wintertime, and we would wonder around for hours. and every time, i had this urge to just walk out and... keep walking? get lost, until someone came looking for me or until i found my way back. it was just this innocent desire to vanish for a while. cowboys captures…

    hello, it’s time for logan’s semi-serious reviews

hard to classify, as i was bored and engaged concurrently. much more concerned with power dynamics than sexual humiliation and emasculation, although it’s still present. probably the “best” of these forced feminization horror films i’ve seen for that reason alone (trans-horror is a feature, not a focal point, and even then only really seriously so in the last ten minutes; it never feels like they’re making transploitation over a bizarre domestic violence psa, to its benefit)

don’t be afraid of losing flesh

my upcoming week of trans horror is… bleak, to say the least. and today’s double feature wasn’t particularly good either. so while i waited around for sunday night football, i figured i should squeeze a good film in, and louise never disappoints. gorgeous editing and a funky little score, which i never usually notice in films! RIP to that poor masturbator prop, you went through so much in the service of those transgender overtones
