The Wolfpack

The Wolfpack ★★★★

i would gladly pay to see any movie these brothers make.

a love letter to cinema, homage, imitation and the frustrations within those limits are stressed to the max in this claustrophobic, short but emotionally taxing documentary. this true story is a once in a lifetime kinda story, a cult horror cross tragic family drama. there are no reasons why these kids should be kind and responsible adults, but they are possibly through the magic of movies and their brotherhood, their trauma is a long and painful history of isolation, of a severe lack of communication between leader and pack, father and sons. this movie may of really flourished with its own experimental and lofi style if shot and directed by the wolfpack themselves but then again perhaps certain topics would not be sensitively but necessarily pushed to understand the lengths to which humans will go for one idle strand of connection.
