Buffalo '66

Buffalo '66 ★★★★½

THE self insert fan fiction. a beautiful, violent, shallow male fantasy, a catharsis of anger and guilt, a self portrait collaged out of fractured parts. meticulously reconstructing trauma, simultaneously desirable and repulsive. romantic as hell as it is caught between a purgatory of vintage and original, compassionate and cold; stuck in the confinements of the past whilst yearning for the future. not many other actors would turn their star vehicle vanity project into a such an original, fascinating car wreck of ego.  one of the most heart breaking escapist works ever created.
