A guy on the plane was watching this on his phone so I pretty much saw an in-flight movie for free.

There have been more reviews on the visceral reactions to this than the content itself, which is pretty fascinating. Quite a bit unfolds during its runtime, depicting a film set in complete crisis (most of it due to male entitlement and female suffering).

There are so many layers I could write an essay on it, and fortunately I have the stomach to watch it several more times in order to do it. Surprised to think this might be one of my favorites this year.

Wow. Every month of 2021 I learn something sketchy about the Hammer family.

It's quintessentially American when there's a story about an angry, entitled white dude who is "ordered by God" to build a death tank and wreck havoc on a small town- including an old lady's house and a library filled with small children- and people are like, "He's a hero and a patriot."

Dude, he wanted to blow up an entire neighborhood by shooting up a yard full of propane tanks. Over a zoning dispute.
