• Boy Band

    Boy Band

i watched the “only the plot” version and it was pretty good, acting is,…. to be expected of these sort of films

  • Don't Look Up

    Don't Look Up

i hate the first part, the satire is too surface-level to be so snarky, how on-the-nose they are makes them corny.

i love the second part cause timothee chalamet lol.

like 10 cloverfield lane, it’s about space but sets mostly indoor, creating this weird claustrophobic tension which keeps me watching

  • Dancer in the Dark

    Dancer in the Dark

it gets so tragic it takes me out, like, i feel like he’s trying too hard to write a misery. but the bjork and thom yorke music is nice tho

  • Once Upon a Time in America

Once Upon a Time in America

it has gangster but it’s not glamorous, kills here are gory and shocking. this film is about nostalgia first and gangter second, but a mournful, escapist nostalgia. i mean thats the story, their sins unraveling and the gangters retreat to a fantastical memory. i like this but the almost evangelical message of “no sins go unpunished” in gangters film give me worse anxiety cause at least god let you die before your punishment.

  • Gloria

i hope Gloria’s cat is ok

this reminds me of evangelion lol, especially the first cemetary visit scene.

  • Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion

Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion

it’s like taking a day off school and the next day everything gets confusing. alex jones can’t even write something this insane.

but yeah i guess the whole theme of LCL - Instrumentality - Human Connection feels really sartrean (but maybe its because ive only read Sartre) especially the AT field seperating human’s heart and mind part.

  • Neon Genesis Evangelion

    Neon Genesis Evangelion

i hate asuka i hate asuka i hate asuka.

ritsuko, tho, is very underrated, a balence of personal turmoil and confidence. everybody else in the series is one “how are you?” away from a full mental breakdown.

kaworu is perfect tho, he’s just perfect, nothing to complain, really just how im tryna be

  • Happy Together

    Happy Together

it’s not sad sad, more like “sentimental” sad. i wonder why they keep coming back together? but the ending is actually quite positive: moving on and repairing yourself

  • Castello Cavalcanti

    Castello Cavalcanti

whoah it turned very warm just out of the blue. feels like a cozy christmas movie somehow

  • The Madness of Prince Charming

    The Madness of Prince Charming

entertaining and informative. adam ant is also very amicable and this has some beautiful archival footage of him, full make-up and clothes and all

  • Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth

Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death and Rebirth

cant believe that scene when ritsuko appears.

  • The Meetings of Anna

    The Meetings of Anna

i watched it half asleep; will rewatch and give a proper review lol
