Sound of Metal has some of the best sound design I’ve ever heard. My mom has been slowly going deaf, and when we started hearing from Ruben’s POV my mom said that’s exactly what she hears, and it helped me understand it.

The story is pretty simple, a drummer loses his hearing and we watch him cope, but it’s so much more. The conversations Ruben has with Joe are truly fantastic, and enhanced by the incredible performances. Riz Ahmed gives…

    Pixar Ranked

This might be Pixar’s most gorgeous movie to date. The character design, the worlds, and some sequences are truly jaw dropping. It also might be their most mature movie to date, tackling some very deep themes. It’s a very thought provoking movie that gets you thinking about your passions, where your life is going, and where you’ve already been. The story takes some unexpected turns, and I was throughly entertained from start to finish. It’s funny, thought provoking, and gorgeous. Pixar really swung for the fences on this one, but I think it’s another win for them.

Wow. This movie is a perfect noir film. When I think of fast talking 50’s movies this is the kind of movie I think of. Burt Lancaster is truly perfection in this role. I just soaked in every word he said. Tony Curtis is equally as good , and when these two are on screen together it’s electric. The plot slowly unfolds never holding the audiences hand, and when the pieces start fitting together it’s *chefs kiss*. I already want to reward this, and I just might.

A very interesting look into one of musics biggest sensations today. It was really interesting seeing how she writes her songs, and how dedicated she is to her craft. All that being said this did not need to be over two hours long.

I May not have understood everything immediately but when I got home my brother and I started analyzing and trying to figure out exactly what happened. I love when a movie does that. I’m excited to rewatch it. Yes this is a flawed movie but the way it made me feel was something that I loved. I thought Interstellar was extremely flawed the first time I saw it and now it’s one of my Favourites so I will be seeing Tenet again this weekend.
