    Streets of Fire

The coolest thing a movie can do is open with the title card 'Another time, another place.'

Today's my birthday and I treated myself to a Shout Factory Steelbook Blu-Ray of this classic.

My mom raised me on this, Buckaroo Banzai and The Muppet Movie so why did it take me so long to realize I loved musicals? I have no idea.

Michael Paré stoic and armed. Diane Lane killing on the mic. Rick Moranis is a jerk in a…

I'll be going on a The Fast and the Furious marathon soon leading up to the new one (I'm so happy the series is still going strong) so I'm watching this for like the 3rd time this year.

There are numerous similarities between the first F&F and Point Break and today my wife pointed out to me that both Brian O'Conner and Johnny Utah order tuna sandwiches. That can't be a coincidence, right?

Hanks plays a man whose plane lands at JFK Airport right as his country is experiencing a coup de tat and he finds himself a man without a country.

While stranded at the airport he meets some wonderful people and makes some great friends. Except for Stanley Tucci. He's terrible. And he's so good at it!

This is just the cutest most heartwarming movie. Very easily put a smile on my face. And what a cast! Hanks, Tucci, Zeta-Jones, McBride, Luna and Saldana. So good. This is a real charmer.

    Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard

Salma Hayek is in her 50's and Samuel L. Jackson is in his 70's and here they are kicking ass and cursing up a storm in a ridiculously fun hard R action movie.

This sequel to the Jackson - Reynolds action flick gives Hayek a bigger role and brings on Antonio Banderas as a very Bond-ish villain.

The smartass profanity and bloody violence is back. The action set pieces aren't as big as the first one but the action remains…

Samuel L. Jackson says motherfucker while shooting people. Ryan Reynolds cracks smartass quips while shooting people. Everything about the story feels like DTV material except instead of going direct to video this got a budget, some big names and everyone seems to be having a lot of fun!

If you like the leads then you'll enjoy the comedy and if you're here for action through you won't be disappointed. There are so many action sequences. One after the other. This…

To Live and Die in L.A.

It's rare that a movie will disturb me, entertain me and have me dancing for most of the runtime.

William Peterson and Willem Dafoe are such good rivals as a crazed cop and a crazed villain. They are very dedicated to their craft and inhabit these roles so perfectly.

A small role by Steve James was sure nice to see and even with only 5 minutes of screentime he still got to kick some ass which was great.

    The tension…
